"You know what it tastes like? Spring water that you get and has no taste at all. This is going to make these people so happy. Let's fill it up right here, right now."
In 2023, we carried out an initiative in Complexo do Alemão, Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with Tardezinha and Coletivo Papo Reto. We implemented our first totem in a favela, which offers not only potable water but also free Wi-Fi. In addition to the totem, we installed filtration technologies, such as the Camelo Kit, in the homes of several families in the community, ensuring continuous access to clean water. To complement these actions, we conducted WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Workshops to educate the population on hygiene and sanitation practices, essential for public health. The inauguration of the totem was marked by an event at Moto-taxi da Grota, one of the main points in Complexo do Alemão, known for its high foot traffic. This event celebrated the arrival of these important improvements and reinforced our commitment to creating a positive impact, providing not only clean water but also connectivity to improve the quality of life for the residents of Complexo do Alemão.

"I was amazed... something so rich in such a simple way, right? No need for an outlet, no need for anything. And to transform any type of water into something good and healthy."
