Yanomami 2023

In 2023, we worked on an emergency project to provide potable water access to the Yanomami people during the humanitarian crisis. The crisis was caused by the invasion of their lands by illegal mining, a problem long denounced by local leaders. The situation worsened dramatically in January 2023, resulting in severe health and safety consequences for the Yanomami community. In response to this emergency, we provided immediate solutions to mitigate the lack of clean water, promoting health and well-being for the affected communities. We partnered with Água AMA (Ambev), CUFA, FUNAI, CUFA Roraima, and the National Anti-Racist Front. Together, we implemented water filtration systems, ensuring access to safe, potable water for thousands of people, helping to combat waterborne diseases, and significantly improving the quality of life for the Yanomami.
